Carolina Dance Center offers all students ages three and up the opportunity to participate in our highly acclaimed annual recital. Our professionally managed performance is held at a local high school's auditorium in early June. This exciting show serves as the culmination of many months of hard work and training and gives students the chance to show off what they have learned throughout the year. Unlike other dance studios, CDC uses a well-known storybook or fairytale theme to link all individual dance classes together into one seamless, entertaining production. A narrator guides the audience through the entertaining spectacle, which is sure to captivate the entire family while inspiring our students to appreciate the joys of performing onstage.
- Most dancers will participate in one of our six recitals, although more advanced students usually perform in multiple shows. Students taking more than one style of dance may also perform in more than one recital. Twos and Acro classes do not participate in the recital. We try our best to place siblings/students taking multiple classes in the same show whenever possible; however, we cannot guarantee that siblings will be in the same show.
- Rather than charging a fixed recital fee per dancer, CDC allows each family to purchase recital tickets as needed. Dancers will also purchase and keep a beautifully designed, child-appropriate costume for each recital dance.
- Each dancer participating in the recital is expected to attend a mandatory dress rehearsal during the week before the performance. This important practice ensures that all of our dancers are well prepared for what has repeatedly proven to be a spectacular show!
