LAUREN WOLFRAM grew up in New York City, and trained at Ballet Academy East until she was 18 years old. She then moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 2014 to work with Boston Ballet as a Trainee for two years. During her traineeship, Lauren was selected to participate in an exchange program with the Royal Danish Ballet, and trained with the school and company in Copenhagen for several weeks. Lauren moved to Raleigh, NC to join Carolina Ballet as a Trainee in 2016. In 2017 she was offered a Corps de ballet position, and was promoted to Soloist in 2020. Lauren has danced principal and soloist roles at Carolina Ballet by choreographers Zalman Raffael, Robert Weiss, and George Balanchine. She has also performed corps and soloist roles in works by Lynn Taylor-Corbett, Mariana Oliveira, and Jenny Palmer. In the last several years, Lauren has developed a new passion for teaching ballet, and is thrilled to be teaching the students of Carolina Dance Center.
