REESE PUGH

Reese Pugh can not be more thrilled for her third season with CDC! Reese is passionate about working with the next generation of dancers; combining technique, creativity, and play in her classes to help inspire and develop a love for dance through all of her young dancers.

Raised in Richmond, VA, Reese began her dance training at the Village Dance Studios before joining the School of Richmond Ballet in 2017. During her training, Reese performed in several Richmond Ballet productions, dancing in children’s roles alongside the company. Reese continued her dance education at Meredith College under Carol Finley, Courtney White, and Eleanor Smith. Reese graduated with two bachelor's degrees in 2025, graduating with B.A. in Dance and B.S. in Early Childhood Development. While at Meredith, Reese performed and choreographed for several student dance companies, directed numerous student productions, and gained extensive experience stage managing and operating sound for dance and theatre under Jim Frick.

Throughout both the classroom and the dance studio, Reese’s teachings reflect her values of using movement, music, and play to enhance all five domains of development. She wishes to create a safe space for all students of all abilities to learn and experience dance in a collaborative way. Reese is looking forward to another positive, fun-filled year with Carolina Dance Center!
