ADIE SAN DIEGO
Adie grew up in Raleigh, NC and trained at Carolina Dance Center for about 8 years under the direction of owners Lindsay, Jennifer, and Missy. She graduated from Point Park University in 2020 receiving her BFA in Dance with a concentration in Modern Dance. While at Point Park, Adie had the privilege to perform works by Kyle Abraham, Nacho Duato, Yin Yue, Stefanie Batten-Bland, Camille A. Brown, and other renowned artists. Additionally, she has attended summer programs with Peter Chu, David Norsworthy, and Victor Quijada. Adie has danced professionally for Kaylin Horgan, Bessie Award Recipient Beth Gill with The Blanket, and VALLETO Dance directed by Valeria Gonzalez. Her love for choreography began early on while at CDC. Her work has been performed at SERBA Dance Festival, as well as at Point Park University. In 2019, Adie premiered a solo at the Pearl Presents Dance Festival in Pittsburgh, PA in their inaugural year.
Adie's teaching experience began at CDC even before graduating. Her contemporary/jazz class focuses on core development and building strength to prepare the dancer for all styles of movement. Her classes involve movement exploration, conversation, and collaboration with others to inspire young dancers to express themselves and create.
