TRAINING INTENSIVES
Training intensives are recommended for dancers ages 7+ who possess a passion for dance and drive to excel. Dancers will have daily ballet and jazz/contemporary classes taught at an accelerated pace. These classes are specifically designed to help perfect dance technique while introducing challenging steps/combinations. Additionally, dancers will learn various ballet and jazz/contemporary repertory pieces that will be presented to parents on the last day of the week.
Dancers should pack a nut-free lunch each day!

SPECIALTY INTENSIVES
Fine tune your movement technique with this advanced training week long intensive! Each dancing day will include a ballet technique class and a new daily variation for inspirational pointework. This will be followed by an energetic jazz/contemporary class focusing on technical specifics such as turns and jumps, conditioning and flexibility, improvisation skills, and innovative choreography encompassing multiple jazz styles. Absolutely perfect for any dancer focused on improving technique and versatility!
Professional Ballet Project

If you love and appreciate the amazing art of ballet, this opportunity is meant for you! We are thrilled to welcome Amanda Edge and Billy Ward back to CDC to lead this amazing week of ballet. Tune up your technique during a fun week-long intensive taught by your own CDC ballet faculty as well as local and visiting guest artist master class teachers. Each day will include a technique class followed by a stretch/strengthening/conditioning session, ample time for lunch on site, as well as pointe/pre-pointe and variations classes in the afternoon. There will be an informal performance at the culmination of the week where dancers will present the variations/choreography they have worked to perfect throughout the week.

We are thrilled to offer this special intensive which is designed to both push and inspire talented dancers. Students will have four classes each day featuring contemporary, lyrical, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, improvisation, and MORE! Participants will be challenged to explore a variety of styles and diversify their movement vocabulary. A strong emphasis will be placed on performance quality and musicality. The director for Momentum 2026 will once again be CDC alumni, Bri Castiller. She will teach alongside an incredible collection of cutting edge guest choreographers. Please check social media for guest faculty announcements. Parents can join us on Friday for an informal showing of choreography from the week.

GAME DAY (VARSITY): Dance Team Clinic
July 13-17, M-F

Recommended for experienced dancers ages 11-18 (ages 8-10 by teacher recommendation only)
We are so excited to offer this high intensity week which will help participants learn and perfect the skills necessary for high school and college dance teams. This intensive will be lead by CDC alum Carisa Wilson who has an extensive background as a collegiate dance team choreographer and is also a former Dallas Cowboys' cheerleader. This intensive will also feature coaches and current dance team members from colleges such as NC State, UNC, ECU, UNCW, Duke, Appalachian State, etc. Daily classes will feature jumps, turns, pom technique, hip hop tricks, sideline cadences, choreography, and MORE.​ The week will culminate with a short performance for parents on Friday. Jazz shoes are required for this intensive. Each dancer will receive a pair of poms to use throughout the week and take home on Friday!
Contemporary Ballet Project

Calling all contemporary bunheads! Tune up your ballet technique and explore the more contemporary realm of the ever-evolving ballet world in this new intensive week. Daily technique/pointe classes will be followed with a guided exploration of solo choreography created by each individual student for themselves. Solo creations will be followed by daily rehearsals for the development of a brand-new piece comprised of all the participating contemporary ballet project dancers. All works will be presented at week’s end.

If your dancer can't get enough dancing, choreography, arts & crafts, games, and other creative activities, these options are for you! This is the perfect way to give your dancer additional creative time each day in a fun-filled, safe, and structured environment.
