
MYAH BROWN
Myah is originally from the great state of Texas. She began her dance journey, at the age of 11, with her local middle school dance program. Her passion for dance grew as she continued her training with On The Move Dance Company. In high school, she served as a Junior Lieutenant and Senior Captain of her drill team. After high school, Myah continued her dance career as a Kilgore College Rangerette, dancing under the direction of Dana Blair and Shelley Wayne. She was a part of the prestigious 77th line and performed in the 90th Anniversary of the Macy’s Thanksgiving day Parade in New York City, the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Contest of Champions in Orlando, Florida and for many college/pro-bowl halftime shows. During her time with the Rangerettes, Myah became a part of the pre-professional modern dance company, Industry, under the direction of Angela Aulds. Graduating from Kilgore College with an Associate's of Arts degree!.
Myah continued her education and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in University Studies - Dance Concentration with minors in Business and Leadership. During her time at A&M, she performed and trained in ballet and modern with the A&M dance department. She performed in a wide range of shows showcasing the Texas A&M dance department. Some of the shows include the ACDA Gala, Brazos Contemporary Dance Festival, and “But Where There’s Hope, There’s Life”. Following graduation, Myah began educating dancers across the U.S. and found herself in Houston, TX where she found a home studio!
Additionally, Myah has been a part of Marching Auxiliaries Dance Company since 2017. This company allows Myah to choreograph, judge, and educate across the U.S! She is excited to join CDC and continue sharing her passion for dance with the next generation of dancers!
