STACI THRASH

Staci began her dance career in Ohio, where she grew up, before attending college in North Carolina on a dance scholarship. She attended Louisburg College and graduated with a degree in Dance Performance. She is trained in various styles such as tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary and her most passionate genre and style, hip hop. She started a dance team while in College and was the dance team captain, where her love of choreography and teaching others really started to blossom. While in college, Staci also auditioned with Paula Abdul and was selected as a backup dancer for the box office hit movie “Black Knight” starring Martin Lawrence. She decided to call North Carolina home and began her teaching career immediately following College graduation. She has been teaching in the Raleigh area for over 20 years! Since being here, she has had the pleasure of choreographing for many studio’s in the area and across the country as well as Collegiate dance teams, the CIAA basketball tournament halftime show, “The Brew Girls” dance crew in downtown Raleigh and “Explore Creative Learning

Center” in which programs she also directed. Staci has received numerous awards for choreography such as Top Teacher, Best of Show, Most Entertaining Dance, Highest Scoring Routine, and many other national-level awards. Perhaps her biggest accomplishment is the

success of her students. Whether it be the most beginning dancer that has worked hard to finally master a skill or a now professional dancing in music videos, Staci’s greatest joy is being a part of the journey, helping to navigate the dancers way. Staci is a well known teacher and choreographer and has a gift of bringing out the best in each dancer in such a fun and inviting way, while giving them the tools and the confidence to reach their full potential. She is thrilled to be a part of the dance family here at Carolina Dance Center!
